The winemaker

Dirk Vermeersch, founder of the winery LEPLAN Vermeersch is a man of many experiences. In 1977 he realizes its (1) dream by winning his first race in 24 hours and by becoming a rally driver and professional racing. In 1986 a serious car accident puts a premature end to his career. In 1999, he embodies another dream (2nd) by selling his car dealership at the right time, becoming financially independent and beginning to consider retirement! But he decided in the end to leave to settle in the south of France. In the typical Provencal village of Tulette, he realizes the dream of the family (3rd) by restoring an old farmhouse and managing a bed and breakfast for nine years. But Dirk Vermeersch not long resist the call of the vineyards full of grasshoppers, crickets and bees as well as the heady scent of lavender and begins to consider his last and ultimate dream (4th): produce its own wine. This thanks to the 2 hectares of old vineyards surrounding the farmhouse. Winegrower autodidact, he created from scratch the winery LEPLAN-Vermeersch with a whole new style of wines, fresh and fruity.
