Terroir : The high age of the marsanne vines (60 to 70 years) guarantees low yields and quality production. The grapes used to make the "de l'orée" parcel selection come from the "des murets" parcel. This is a very old fluvio-glacial alluvial soil. They are harvested by hand when ripe. vinification : after pressing, the must is cold-settled for around 24 hours. Around 50% is vinified in demi-muids with regular stirring, the rest in vats. Aged on lees with regular stirring for 6 months. Before bottling, barrel ageing is monitored by frequent tastings. Aging lasts 10 to 12 months. TASTING : color: intense golden yellow, with golden and green highlights. Nose: very intense, warm pebbles, caramel, very ripe, fruity lemon with floral notes of acacia and hawthorn. Palate: fat, full-bodied attack, very complex, with notes of ripe fruit, spices and toast. Very good length, with a fresh finish. Depending on the vintage, the wine can be kept for 30 to 60 years, or even 50 to 75 years.
