Bright ruby red. The bouquet is characterized by notes of roasting, mocha, a hint of Mediterranean flora and hints of cloves. The palate reveals fresh, powerful flavors with a voluminous, complex structure. The finish has a discreet, delicate woody note. The vines are planted on three different soil types: tertiary clay-limestone deposits (molasses), alluvial soils with fragmented pebbles and sandstone. After harvesting, the grapes are partially destemmed. The must is fermented at a controlled temperature, then subjected to malolactic fermentation (fermentation malolactique) for 3 to 4 weeks. To improve its structure, the wine is partly matured in barrels before being bottled and sold. Its nickname 'le bossu' ('the hunchback') is the name given to the sloping, uneven terrain that characterizes the vineyards of Château du Trignon, dotted with valleys and hillsides. At the same time, hunchbacks were also considered good luck charms for those who knew how to caress their hump. This cuvée du bossu is a blend of all these senses. Thanks to carefully managed plots, it produces wines of character that express the richness of the terroir and the good fortune of those who know how to discover them at the right time. The Roux family acquired Château du Trignon in 1896 and has since transformed it over five generations, moving from a traditional estate with diversified agriculture to one focused on quality viticulture, with properties in the Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet and Côtes du Rhône regions. This commitment to quality has resulted in numerous investments in the vineyards and the construction of modern wineries equipped with thermoregulation systems. In 2007, the Quot family took over the estate, seduced by the expressive wines and the 'dentelles de montmirail', a rocky landscape made up of several small ridges. Since then, a further 10 hectares have been added to the estate in Vacqueyras in order to produce and develop wines in keeping with the estate's tradition and quality. Allergene:enthält sulfite
