The winemaker
Jean-Michel Gerin's vineyard
Spanning 17 hectares, Jean-Michel Gerin's Syrah (red) and Viognier (white) vines flourish gently under the Mediterranean and continental climate. The winemaker has been patiently building up his vineyard since 1983, and owns various terroirs including La Landonne and the slopes of La Viallière and Les Grandes Places, with slopes ranging from 40 to 60%. Accompanied by his 2 sons, he has been working organically since 2020.
Jean-Michel Gerin's wines
Red wines made mainly from Syrah, in AOP Côte-Rôtie and AOP Saint-Joseph, are tannic, powerful, silky and fleshy. Viognier produces racy, expressive Condrieu cuvées with great depth. The IGP Champine (white and red) is very supple and seductive.
