The winemaker

Located in the commune of Châteauneuf du Rhône in Drôme provençale, the estate has belonged to the Ferrotin family since the 16th century. Following the phylloxera crisis in the 1900s, mixed farming largely replaced the vines, and the harvest was no longer vinified on the estate. It wasn't until the early 2000s that Jean Claude, with his passion for wine, decided to vinify again on the estate. Today, the estate has 15 hectares of vines, but also grows blackcurrants, almonds and cereals. The vines, cultivated using integrated farming methods, are planted on pebbly soils and produce AOP Grignan les Adhémar and Vins de Pays de la Drôme wines.) "Today we are proud to make our wines with respect for tradition, to satisfy both connoisseur and amateur consumers." The grape varieties selected for the red and rosé wines (Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache) and for the white wine (Roussane, Viognier) best express the qualities and typicity of the estate's terroir.
