The winemaker

Histoire domaine des Remizieres

He was later joined by his daughter and son. Both have degrees in viticulture/oenology. From just a few hectares of vines, the business expanded to include the entire estate from 1973 onwards. The estate's operations follow an environmentally-friendly approach. Its HVE High Environmental Value certification is proof of this.

Terroir and vineyard characteristics

Domaine des Remizières currently covers an area of 35 hectares. It extends over several communes and is fairly fragmented. These include Mercurol, Larnage, Crozes-Hermitage, Tain l'Hermitage, Saint Jean de Muzols and Vion for the Saint Joseph, as well as La Roche de Glun. Several complementary terroirs are thus employed in production. All Domaine des Remizières wines are sold in bottles.

The estate's wines

Domaine des Remizières has both white and red wines. The white wines include Hermitage, Crozes Hermitage and vins du pays. The reds include Saint-Joseph, Hermitage, Crozes Hermitage and some local wines.
