The winemaker

The history of the Poulvarel estate


Domaine de Poulvarel is located at the very northern end of the Costières de Nîmes appellation, near the Pont du Gard. Since 2004, Elisabeth and Pascal Glas have been managing this estate, which has been in their family for three generations. Their descendants are already assured by the involvement of their daughters.

The vineyards of Domaine de Poulvarel are planted with traditional Rhône varietals: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre. It is completed by Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Vermentino. Since 2014, the estate has been HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certified.

Le Bouquet Blanc

This wine has a fresh nose with notes of yellow fruit, honeysuckle and lily. (Grenache blanc, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Vermentino, Muscat)

Le Bouquet Rosé

After a nose of ripe red fruits, peach and pomelo, the palate proves unctuous and greedy. (Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Mourvèdre)

Le Bouquet Rouge

Its nose of black fruits, black pepper and licorice on a roll is expressive. Its fleshy palate offers aromas of fresh mint and forest fruits (Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, Marselan, Cabernet Sauvignon).

Domaine Blanc

The wine offers a nose tinged with white fruit and citrus, extended by a fresh menthol palate (Grenache blanc, Roussanne).

Domaine Rosé

The nose is dominated by raspberry, wild strawberry and pink pepper. On the palate, it appears unctuous and greedy. (Grenache, Mourvèdre)

Domaine Rouge

The nose of jammy red fruits, mocha and peppercorns is a perfect match for its fleshy palate (Grenache, Syrah).

La Croix de Busquet

The wine offers original notes of laurel, morello cherry, clove and wild berries (Carignan, Grenache).

Les Cantarelles

An elegant, complex wine offering a nose diffusing aromas of marzipan, spiced candied pear and vanilla bean (Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Vermentino).
