The winemaker

Aurélien Chatagnier is one of Northern Rhone rising stars. His recent fame is due to his mastery of winemaking in the beautiful vintage "Sybarite" of St. Joseph, but he should experience the full range in both red and white: Behind reasonable prices lurk great wines! Today, the farm consists of slightly more than 6 hectares: 2 in Saint Joseph red, white 1 in Saint Joseph, Condrieu 1, 0.2 in Côte-Rôtie, Cornas in 0.2 and 2 PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) Wine Rhodaniennes Hills (for the vintage "Le Cret Louison" 1400 bottles each year, from a superb plot of old vines and the rest in simple Syrah and Viognier)  The vineyards are located straddling three departments: Rhone, with plots of Cote Rotie in Ampuis (Côte Brune), the Loire, in the municipality of Malleval (Saint Joseph) and Ardèche, in the communes of Limony ( Condrieu, St. Joseph and PGI) Charnas (Saint Joseph and PGI) and Ardoix (St. Joseph).  Wherever possible, the vines are worked without herbicides or pesticides, and with the minimum sulfur.
