"terroir: on the prébois vineyard, stony clay-limestone soils and gravelly clay soils. Vinification and ageing: the harvest date is determined by ripeness checks and berry tasting. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are sorted and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats of 150hl to 190hl capacity. Extraction is carried out by reasoned pumping-over according to tasting. After devatting and malolactic fermentation, the wines are transferred partly to wooden vats and partly to stainless steel vats, where they are aged for a year.Tasting notes: Elegant ruby-red color with brilliant highlights. This wine has a very seductive, expressive nose with notes of red fruits such as redcurrant and peppery spices. Perfectly supple and well-balanced, the palate is delicious, with aromas of subtly spiced fruit.2020 vintage: benefiting from an ideal climate, marked by constant winds and moderate rainfall, the 2020 vintage produced an abundant, high-quality harvest. A mild winter and a sunny, windy spring paved the way for healthy flowering on May 18. Summer was hot but less torrid than 2019, with cool nights that kept the vines vital. The harvest, which began early on August 26, took place under ideal conditions, resulting in well-balanced, healthy grapes. With yields slightly higher than the previous year and promising signs from the first tastings, the 2020 vintage is exceptional."

The appellation Côtes-du-Rhône is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Famille Perrin and its 32 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
