This cuvée "Les Rabassières" refers to the Rabasse, which means "truffle" in Provençal. As recently as the last century, the Plan de Dieu region, from which this cuvée comes, was renowned for its abundance of truffle oaks. A buried and coveted treasure, rabasse was often collected at night, so as not to reveal the location of the find! As a tribute to this highly developed local activity, and to the truffle oaks still present at the edge of the plot, "Les Rabassières" is a reminder of this heritage. With "Les Rabassières", Bouachon reveals all its Southern Rhône Valley expertise in the art of Grenache-Syrah blending.
