In a few words ...
The wines come from 60-year-old vines planted on pebble soil. The plot faces north-south and is planted with all three grape varieties. All three grape varieties are vinified together. The harvest is completely destemmed, and alcoholic fermentation takes place in truncated-cone wooden vats. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats for an average of 6 months.

Produced from vines adjacent to CNdP, old vines with dominant 80% Grenache and blended with 20% Syrah. Great aromatic intensity, and with aromas of red fruits and spices. A petite CNDP of sorts. Drink now but with cellaring potential. Good value via Twil.

The appellation Côtes-du-Rhône is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include La Durbane and its 8 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
