Deep red with slightly tile-like highlights.

Open to aromas of small stone fruits, fruits in brandy, spices (pepper, thyme) and garrigue.

Taste
Warm, supple, silky, full and elegant, with very fine tannins. Hints of undergrowth and licorice accompany aromas of wild red berries and black cherries on the finish.

Notes of vanilla, oak and pepper, the red fruit notes are very/too subtle. The palate is balsamic with a touch of menthol, the tannins are soft with low acidity. An unpretentious Côtes-du-Rhône, to be enjoyed with a light meal.

The appellation Côtes-du-Rhône is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Maison Brotte - Sélection and its 17 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
