The lieu-dit > is an east-facing hillside in the ampuis commune, in the côte-rôtie appellation. This vineyard, planted with old vines, rests on micaschist soils. Treatments are kept to a minimum depending on weather conditions, no insecticides are used, and the little fertilizer used is exclusively organic. The grapes are harvested by hand, and each plot is vinified separately (using indigenous yeasts) in the traditional way. The wine is aged in barrels for 18 months. The cuilleron winery has been family-owned for three generations.neither conventional, organic nor biodynamic, yves cuilleron has a very personal vision of his winegrowing profession, and his credo is simple: >.the vineyard is worked with a large workforce, according to the precepts of lutte raisonnée, not labeled, so as not to suffer any constraints. Insecticides are banned, and organic fertilizers are used in small quantities. Since the summer of 2012, Yves has become the first winegrower in his region to install a system for treating water contaminated by phytosanitary products.A full-bodied wine with complex aromas of spicy black fruits and sandalwood, with a mineral touch of graphite and smoky notes. The palate is precise and balanced, built on dense, chiselled and velvety tannins. The terroir brings a characteristic mineral freshness.
