A great Cornas! Domaine Vincent Paris is located on the Chemin des Peyrouses, at the end of the village of Cornas. His Cornas, named after the slope of the vines, is made from several blends of plots. Cornas Granit 60 comes from 3 parcels selected for their high quality: vines with an average age of 60 years, cultivated on the granitic soils of the Ardèche, on hillsides with an incline reaching 60° (hence the name of the cuvée): where the vines grow slowly between the pebbles to give yields of less than 30 Hl/ha. This wine is a great Cornas, combining power and finesse. Violet, cherry, blackberry and licorice aromas. Spices and notes of black fruit jam will delight the taste buds of discerning tasters. Very long on the palate. May be kept for 20 to 30 years. The grapes are 70% destemmed. Aged 3 months in vats, then 1 year in 2- to 8-year-old barrels (no new barrels, to respect the flavors of the terroir).

The appellation Cornas is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Domaine Vincent Paris and its 13 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
