The winemaker

The Château Signac built at the foot of a limestone mountain

The imposing 10th-century building was constructed by Benedictine monks. Today, the estate is run by Nathalie Giraudon and her husband, Benjamin Boyer. They are committed to cultivating their land with care and producing a quality wine. A sense of sharing and conviviality has led the couple to operate the estate as a gîte rural. This allows visitors to spend a few days in this memorable landscape.

The Château Signac benefits from the rare qualities of its terroir

.
The Dent de Signac and its cliffs bring limestone sediments to the terroir. These mingle with the marine sediments present at the bottom of the valley. This combination is ideal for producing wines of remarkable finesse and lightness. Château Signac is nestled in the foothills of the mountain, and its 20 hectares of vines take full advantage of this unique terroir. Added to this is the fresh, pure air that descends from the mountain and protects the grapes from disease. This makes it easy to limit the number of treatments required on the vines.

Chateau Signac wines are driven by the alchemy between grape variety and terroir

.
The estate produces wine in two appellations: Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages-Chusclan. It also produces vin de pays IGP Côteaux du Pont du Gard. The grape varieties chosen by the winegrowers are mainly Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Single-varietal or blended, they produce generous, gourmet wines that can be drunk early. There are many medal-winning cuvées, such as Dent'elle 2019, a pure mourvèdre that won the gold medal at Féminalises 2021.
