The winemaker

A terroir typical of its appellation

The vineyard comprises just over thirty hectares, more than 90% of which are devoted to red wine. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre dominate, but leave a few parcels to the whites with Roussanne, Clairette and Grenache blanc. All the vines are grown using integrated viticulture methods.

The wines of Château Fortia

The exceptional ripeness of the grapes enables the outstanding terroir to deliver a fine, elegant Chateauneuf du Pape, a benchmark of very long ageing renowned in all its vintages. The estate also produces an outstanding dry white and an excellent Côte du Rhône.
