The winemaker

Ideally located between the inner valley of the Moors and the high country of Provence, our cellar headquarters at the foot of an oppidum built by the Ligurian Celto a century BC. It was in 1924 that the Vignerons de Taradeau regrouped. La Cave des Vignerons was founded in 1925 around Provencal families, firmly rooted in the soil of Taradeau. Always tip of a controlled technology, adapted to the requirements of our land, we prefer our ancestral knowledge and always rely on the quality of our products. Ongoing investments and strict management of the harvest contribute to the excellence of the wines from our cellar. Our wine cooperative really does not work like the others. Indeed, cooperation envisioned by the founders, the various leaders have preserved the essential: Man as engine and innovation in its service; tradition and modernity in a vault Allied transformed in summer 2011. Today, the vault of the Vignerons de Taradeau also offers a deli. Local range to the famous line, we work with 90 to date producers and suppliers offer the possibility to our customers to discover more than 1,500 references in a contemporary setting. And in our constant search for proximity and progress, we crossed the Moors to reach the Gulf of St. Tropez, where a second point of sale was born in July 2013 in Cogolin. This willingness to innovate, move forward, progress does not date from yesterday. She already rampant in the 1970s, to the point that Vignerons de Taradeau were among the first French cooperative to begin the crucial turn qualitatively totally restructuring their vineyard. Cooperators then introduced grenache, then, quickly, Cinsault and Syrah. In 20 years, 250 hectares have been planted for a more noble material, which in a few years, dramatically changed the type of house wines. They fully express the richness and typical of our land. Our hills formed pellites and give bold wines and round while the vineyards on the clay-limestone and stony plateaus surrounding the village, generate fruity wines, marked by a distinct minerality. Thus we find, from the vineyard to cellar, the same awareness and the same desire for perfection passed from generation to generation. Today, the son and daughters of Rougian - a prestige cuvee is dedicated to them - perpetuate with the same passion that expertise.
