The winemaker

Very diversified, the soil in the field of Béates is a mixture of soft limestone, sandstone of sand, of clay and limestone on marl and stony soils. This limestone, provides great minerality our white wines, a beautiful fruit to our rosé and it imposes a stricter control performance for powerful red and custody. With plots in AOC planted on the southern foothills between 200 and 400 meters, this highly fragmented vineyard gives our wines a balanced acidity and a natural stability, all the more remarkable in very hot vintages. Listening to nature, the area is worked in organic farming since the early 80s.
