The winemaker

The history of Domaine de Lagoy


Domaine de Lagoy was acquired in 1662 by the Meyran family, who have held it ever since. The château - built in 1714 - is a listed historic monument. Domaine de Lagoy was converted to organic farming in 2001.

The Domaine de Lagoy vineyard


The Domaine de Lagoy vineyard covers 29 hectares. The entire agricultural estate is in one piece. It comprises a wooded park around the château, irrigated meadows - bordered by deciduous hedges - producing hay, areas of "coussous" (dry meadows containing juniper) and forested areas whose holm oak forests have remained uncut for almost a century. Grenache is the dominant grape variety. Other grape varieties include Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Blanc cuvée classique

Intense, round, fruity wine with hawthorn floral notes (Viognier 40%, Chardonnay 20%, Sauvignon 40%.)

Pétillant Cante Blanc Classique

This sparkling, round and delicate wine expresses fruity notes of pear, apricot and almond, as well as hints of honey (50% Chardonnay, 50% Sauvignon).

Pétillant Cante Rosé Classique

Cante means "I sing" in Provençal. This sweet wine is fruity, blending strawberry, peach, cherry and passion fruit. ( Cinsault)

Festejo sparkling wine

Festejo means "In celebration" in Provençal. Made using the traditional Champagne method, this is a fresh, fruity brut nature rosé (Grenache 40%, Cinsault 36%, Syrah 24%).

Rosé Cuvée Classique

An intense wine with exotic, peach and tangerine notes (Cinsault 10%, Merlot 25%, Caladoc 40%, Grenache 25%).

Rosé Cuvée de la Chapelle

This is a fruity, floral wine, perfectly balanced (Grenache 50%, Merlot 50%).

Rouge Cuvée Classique

Intense, subtly spicy wine dominated by black fruits (Marselan 20%, Caladoc 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%).

Rouge Cuvée du Marquis

The wine is intense and complex, displaying savory notes of vanilla, tobacco and spice(Marselan).
