The winemaker
The Commanderie de Peyrassol produces grands crus and exceptional wines, harmonious and delicate thanks to their stony, clay-limestone terroir. Its location at over 300m altitude is ideal for vines, which include grenache, cinsault, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, tibouren, merlot, rolle, ugni blanc, semillon, clairette, sauvignon, muscat and viognier. The estate covers more than 850 hectares, 80 of which are dedicated to vines: enough space to work them all in the best possible conditions. The remainder is covered by olive groves, a truffle farm and a large 350-hectare hunting park. This is definitely one of the finest properties in the region.
