The History of Château Vaudois

Chateau Vaudois is an old winery that had been left abandoned, before it was purchased in 1988 by Marie and Gerard Delli-Zotti. According to the historical research of their children, Christelle and Jonathan, the castle's locality, "Le Vaudois", was home since 1205 to the itinerant preachers of the Waldensian religion, created in Lyon in 1173 by Pierre Valdès.

The preparation of the land and the first plantations were carried out in the year 2000. It was not until 2004 that the first grapes were harvested and 2011 that the winery was created.

Starting from 0 in the year 2000, the Delli-Zotti couple has since continued to improve and expand their vineyard to reach 14 hectares in 2014 and 18 hectares in 2018.

The Château Vaudois vineyard

The Chateau Vaudois estate covers 93 hectares, 18 of which are reserved for vineyards. The parcels cling to the hills of the Maures, between Saint Raphael and Saint Tropez, where they enjoy a southeastern exposure with exceptional constant sunshine and a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean.

The terroir is schistose, always humid and swept by the east wind and the mistral that beat the vines. This natural sanitation protects the grapes from disease and allows the use of pesticides to be reduced to the extreme.

Château Vaudois' grape varieties consist of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Merlot, Viognier, Rolle, Mourvèdre and Tibouren.

Chateau Vaudois Rouge - AOP Côtes de Provence

Château Vaudois Rouge displays an intense ruby color with garnet highlights. Its nose is frank, complex and intense. The wine emanates aromas of blueberries, blackberries and licorice, slightly spicy.

The attack in the mouth is round and warm, with silky tannins.

Château Vaudois Rosé - AOP Côtes de Provence

Château Vaudois Rosé has a light salmon color, brilliant and limpid. The nose is full of red fruits. The mouth is balanced, very round. Its finish is long.

So Ladies... So Vaudois

So Ladies... So Vaudois is offered in rosé and white. It is a refined wine, with a lot of character, dedicated to the women of the estate.

V de Vaudois Rosé - IGP des Maures

The V de Vaudois Rosé offers a salmon pink color as delicate as its nose is imbued with our citrus fruits and small acidic red fruits, such as raspberries and red currants.

Its attack on the palate is clean and lively, slightly spicy, with a fresh, tart finish.

V de Vaudois Blanc - IGP des Maures

The white V de Vaudois displays a pale color with silver reflections. Its nose is expressive, dominated by citrus fruits and clementines. It also has notes of pineapple and lychee. The mouth is fruity and long.

Perles de Marie - Traditional Method

Perles de Marie is a sparkling wine with fine bubbles. It has a pale pink color with onion skin reflections. Its nose mixes white flowers and red fruits.

Its attack in mouth is lively, very fruity, embellished by the smoothness of its bubbles.
