The history of Château Clarettes
The origins of Château Clarettes are rather unclear, but archaeological remains have revealed ceramic material dating back to the 1st century BC. But it was in the 1920s that Château Clarettes began to make a name for itself and, above all, to produce medal-winning wines. Since 2011, the new owners have made every effort to continue producing exceptional wines.
Chateau Clarettes terroir and vineyard characteristics
Château Clarettes is ideally located in the heart of Provence, just one kilometer from the village of Les Arcs sur Argens. The estate covers some 20 hectares, 17 of which are planted with vines. The special feature of this vineyard is that it has clay-limestone soils, but is also composed of volcanic soils. The Château is HVE certified.
The wines of Château Clarettes
Château Clarettes produces white wines (Grande Cuvée blanc, Thérapie blanc and Grain blanc, Eole, Léoni), rosé wines (Grande Cuvée rosé, Thérapie rosé, Miréio) and red wines (Grande Cuvée rouge, Thérapie rouge, Mistral Noir, Vincèn). All our wines are produced using sustainable farming methods, respecting the environment, and harvested between 3 and 9 a.m. to preserve their flavors.
