Vin huet, le haut-lieu moelleux 1ère trie 2015, vouvray light golden yellow color nose the 1ère trie from the lieu-dit 'le haut-lieu' differs from the moelleux by a slightly more musky note of pear and apple as well as a slight sharpness on the nose, due to the greater concentration of sugar. The haut-lieu, always light, here becomes a little heavier and denser, the aromas moving into the realm of candied and dried fruits, a little honey and wax are felt, and yet freshness is also noticeable here. The 1st trie is slightly exotic with air. Aromas of pineapple, papaya and persimmon overtake the pome fruits, and combine with a light touch of spice. On the palate, haut-lieu 1ère trie is a fine example of ripe, lively exuberance and cool clarity that, far from being mutually exclusive, are actually mutually fertile. The acidity of the haut-lieu carries the sweetness at arm's length. On the palate, freshness and light fruit notes dominate, turning from the slightly exotic nose back to aromas of yellow and golden stone fruits. Despite all the ripeness shown by the 1st trie and all the sweetness guaranteed here, the lively acidity offers plenty of scope for flavor combinations.
