Domaine de Saint-Romble's Cuvée Vieille Vigne is made from a selection of 6 old Sauvignon Blanc plots (60+ years old) located at L'Agros, Les Cotelins, Droux, La Rabotine and Le Petit Moulin, producing very low yields (~35-40hl/ha). These are south/south-east-facing plots, located on the hilltops overlooking the village of sury-en-vaux, on the edge of the pays-fort region.
Appearance
Yellow gold
Aroma
The Cuvée Village is distinguished by a richly aromatic nose of ripe fruit (blackcurrant, mango, redcurrant...) and a subtle hint of smoke.
Taste
On the palate, varietal aromatic concentration dominates, taming the freshness of the terroir. A perfect balance.
