After a career in a major pharmaceutical company, ludovic chanson started a new life by creating his own domaine in montlouis in 2009. It was with stéphane cossais (who tragically passed away in 2009 ) and also with vincent carême in vouvray, that ludovic got the trigger that made him want to become a winemaker. He also learned a lot at domaine la grange tiphaine (coralie and damien delecheneau) in amboise, where he spent some time training. He also learned a lot from nicolas renard (amboise). In early 2009, Ludovic found 6.5 hectares of vines for sale. The vineyard belonged to domaine levasseur (alex mathur) and the vines had already been cultivated organically since 2006. domaine ludovic chanson's cuvée implicite is made from old chenin vines planted on flinty clay-limestone soils. Spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels for several wines, then aged for 24 months. The nose reveals magnificent notes of candied yellow fruit, ripe exotic fruit, anise, citrus, wet stone and dried fruit, with a hint of oxidation. The palate is full, complex and incredibly well-balanced.
