Characteristics of the terroir and vineyards of Maison Ackerman
Maison Ackerman is rooted in the vineyards of the Loire Valley, in the heart of the Anjou-Saumur terroir. In the Loire Valley, the diversity of the northern climate and the rich geology produce fine, fresh wines. The grape varieties used to make Saumur and Crémant de la Loire are both white and black. These include chardonnay, chenin blanc, cabernet franc, pinot noir and sauvignon blanc.
The wines of the Maison Ackerman estate
Maison Ackerman produces Saumur and Crémant de Loire using the traditional method. The difference between Crémant and Saumur lies in the area of cultivation and the selection of grape varieties. Maison Ackerman produces both whites and rosés. Among the estate's finest AOP wines are Saumur blanc brut Royal and Crémant de Loire blanc brut Blanc de Noirs.
