The winemaker

Characteristics of the Vincent Carême terroir and vineyard

The estate covers 15 hectares of organically farmed vines. Only one grape variety is grown, Chenin blanc. It is used in all its forms, from still to sparkling wines. The vines are naturally grassed and harvested by hand. The soils are clay-limestone and flinty clay.

The wines of Domaine Vincent Carême

Certified organic since 2007, the domaine's sparkling wines represent 60% of production, including the domaine's emblematic Le Plaisir Ancestral, as well as Vincent Carême sec, pétillant rosé and Cave de Vouvray. Still wines include dry whites such as Peu Morier and Le Clos, as well as sweet whites.
