The winemaker
It all began in the 19th century, when the Roumier family owned 1.5 ha of vines at Les Berthiers. In 1905, Berthe Roumier married Ernest Seguin and bought a few vines at Bouchot.
The estate expanded and diversified its range of terroirs: limestone, Kimmeridgian marl and flint. This acquisition marked the beginning of the search for complexity and finesse that continues to guide the estate to this day. Raymond and then Hervé Seguin continued the family tradition, gradually expanding the estate to 12 hectares, planted mainly with Pouilly-Fumé Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. In 2000, Philippe (6th generation) took over the estate, which now covers 19 ha, with the aim of perpetuating the estate's philosophy of respecting the differences between terroirs to enhance the complexity of the wine. England, Germany, USA, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada, Australia... restaurateurs, wine merchants... our wines are now distributed all over the world and are regularly honored in the press and professional guides.
Our tasting cellar enables our private customers to discover and purchase our wines directly from the estate, 7 days a week.
