The winemaker
The terroir consists of rather poor sandy-clay and siliceous soils. Domaine Sauger uses several grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for white wines, Pinot Noir, Côt and Gamay for reds. This is essential, as Cheverny wines are always blends.
