The winemaker

The Fournier Longchamps family owns this 34-hectare winegrowing estate in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley. Founded by Philip Fournier in 2007 and managed since then by his son Julien Fournier, it extends over two communes: Rochefort sur Loire and Savennières, and includes parcels in seven appellations.

The estate

The vineyard is made up of vines from two estates, Château de Chamboureau and Jo Pithon, acquired in 2006 and 2007 by the family. Philip Fournier chose to name the estate after his parents.

The estate enjoys a dominant position and a mild, sunny climate. The soils are composed of clay and schist. Only two grape varieties are planted, one white and one red, with a strong predominance of white. Chenin Blanc, the emblematic grape of Anjou, is king on the estate, enabling us to produce top-quality white wines. The Domaine FL range includes sweet whites, dry whites and sweet whites. Cabernet Franc makes up the rest of the vineyard and is used to produce red wines. The estate's wines express the wide variety of terroirs on which the vineyard is planted.

The estate began its conversion to organic farming in 2009. Since 2014, certain parcels have been farmed according to biodynamic principles.

Cuvées parcellaires, deliberately low yields, everything is done to encourage the purest expression of the characteristics of these exceptional terroirs and obtain grapes of the highest quality, at full ripeness and concentrating sugars. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the facilities have been upgraded to offer today an exceptional working tool with an ultra-modern winery, a cuverie, a state-of-the-art thermo-regulation system and a cellar housing oak barrels.

The wines

The domaine produces wines in the Anjou Villages, Anjou Blanc, Savennières Roche aux moines, Savennières, Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru, Coteaux du Layon Premier Cru Chaume and Coteaux du Layon appellations.

J'adore is a cuvée of rosé sparkling wine. It is aged for two years on laths using traditional methods. This is a complex brut wine with great freshness offering aromas of strawberries and red fruits. The attack on the palate is frank, but moderate thanks to the fine bubbles. Perfect with creamy desserts or Provençal-flavored puff pastries.

Roche aux Moines vintage 2012 is a white wine in the Savenières Roche aux moines appellation. The nose is fruity with aromas of vine peach, pineapple and honey. The palate is mineral and elegant, with surprising nuances of old rum. It's an easy wine to match, perfect with roasted meats like fish or seafood, but also goat's cheese or fruity desserts.

Savennières vintage 2019 is a powerful white wine that leaves plenty of room for fruit. The nose offers citrus aromas with hints of white flowers. Enjoy it with filleted fish, a shellfish dish or a mushroom omelet.
