The winemaker

Domaine de l'Ours Bleu is located in the Loire wine-growing region, on the upper slopes of Montsoreau. The estate was taken over by a group of friends who decided to take up the challenge of growing vines. Today, Jérôme Baillargeau runs the 14-hectare vineyard and orchard. In 2018, they decided to turn to organic farming, and the estate now presents all its 2021 cuvées with this certification. Domaine de l'Ours Bleu is privileged to have several renowned Loire appellations, enabling it to benefit from a variety of different terroirs and a virtuous environment. Domaine l'Ours Bleu wines can be found in the Saumur, Saumur-Champigny and Chinon appellations. The wines are made from Cabernet Franc grapes for red wines, rosé and fine bubbles. Chenin is used for white wines. You'll find quality cuvées such as the elegant Saumur Blanc or the original Le Petit Insolent, made from a black grape variety to create a white wine!
