The winemaker

Since 1937, the field has specialized in the cultivation of vines and Bourgueil wine production. Our unique grape is Cabernet Franc.   The winery is located on a plateau limestone basement, facing south. Alexis Christine & Thierry Boucard exploit 19 hectares of cabernet franc in Bourgueil appellation, located to 2/3 on clay-limestone soils (or "tuff") and 1/3 on clayey sands.   In 1985, the field extends and operates three hectares of cabernet franc in St Nicolas de Bourgueil appellation, located on land of sand & gravel.   Since 2000, Thierry works in IPM, with tillage, limiting the use of synthetic products in the vineyards & use of organic products.   The estate produces red and rosé AOC Bourgueil, a red wine AOC Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil and a pink traditional method AOC Touraine.
