Characteristics of the terroir and vineyard of Domaine Bernard Baudry
Domaine Bernard Baudry is located in Touraine, in the center of the Loire Valley vineyards. This region, which stretches from west to east, produces wines of great variety. Geological complexity contributes to this diversity. Domaine Bernard Baudry covers 32 hectares in Cavant-les-Coteaux, near Chinon.
The wines of Domaine Bernard Baudry
Domaine Bernard Baudry makes red and rosé wines from the Cabernet Franc grape and white from the Chenin grape. These are AOC Chinon wines. Domaine Bernard Baudry is distinguished by the fact that each plot has a different subsoil. They are therefore harvested and vinified separately. Each cuvée corresponds to a parcel. The red wines are fruity and supple, like Les Granges, or denser, like Les Grizeaux. The white, Le Domaine, is a very fine, aromatic wine.
