The winemaker

Jacques Beaujeau, current owner of the estate and 7th generation of winegrowers since 1850, produces classified wines in almost all Anjou appellations, including red, dry white and sweet: Anjou (red and white), Cabernet d'Anjou, Rosé de Loire, Anjou Villages Brissac, Coteaux du Layon, Coteaux de l'Aubance, Bonnezeaux, Quarts de Chaume. The family also owns Domaine de la Perruche, a 40-hectare vineyard in Montsoreau, in the Saumur Champigny appellation. Since 1992, the winemaker has been practicing integrated pest management, manual leaf thinning at the height of the bunches after veraison, and hand-picking the botrytized berries for the sweet wines. The wines are recognized for their strong identity and their beautiful diversity.
