It was in 1999 that rémy pédréno, a former computer engineer, created roc d'anglade. From the outset, the 10-hectare estate has been farmed organically. The vines are planted on limestone marl over clay-limestone-silica soils and face due north, guaranteeing the wines great freshness. Rémy pédréno is a passionate and demanding winemaker who produces only vins de pays, so as not to be constrained by the Languedoc appellation specifications. His style is original, with an emphasis on freshness and elegance. The white wine, made from chenin, is a perfect partner for gastronomy. Tasty and delicate, much appreciated by enlightened sommeliers, it's one of the small circle of the best southern whites. The reds, a blend of carignan, mourvèdre, grenache, syrah and cinsault, embody a digestible, fruity yet serious style.
