the domaine d'aïchoux is located in the fenouillèdes in the small village of sournia in the pyrénées-orientales. it is operated by the e.s.a.t. "les ateliers de val de sournia", an initiative that puts the spotlight on disabled people in the world of wine! The wide variety of soils (granitic sandy-loam, metaphorical silicocalcareous, gneiss and quartz) make the environment an exceptional terroir for the plots of vines, which are farmed organically. The vineyard covers 6 hectares at an altitude of 600m. The estate's grape varieties include grenache blanc, carignan blanc, sauvignon, syrah, carignan noir and a totally atypical variety such as chasan, a cross between listan and chardonnay.
