Splendid wine, I've rarely tasted such a wine and yet I've been lucky enough to taste the greatest Bordeaux wines (Margaux , Laffite , Cos , Latour , Mouton , Ausone , Cheval Blanc etc.....sauf Haut Brion et Pétrus, as well as the greatest reds and whites in Burgundy. We had a tasting club and could buy them individually, but that was 40 years ago.....hélas. Too bad he's just raised his prices, and many thanks to Twil for this discovery. Marcel Kerfanto

Unfortunately, I haven't yet had the chance to taste Pétrus, but if it's as good as Les Gravières du Taurou, my wallet will be all the better for it! At this price, why deprive yourself?

I knew about this wine because I'd heard it had beaten Petrus in a blind tasting. We're never disappointed. It's a complex wine with enormous ageing potential.

The nose still seems a little closed, perhaps better to let it work a little more. The palate is powerful and tannic, confirming the first impression: to be kept. Nevertheless, the richness and length on the palate suggest that the future is bright.

It has a warm, southern character, firmly rooted in its sun-drenched hills, with a dense, garnet-red color. Toasty notes coated with candied fruit coat the palate from the outset, then linger on the palate for a long, persistent finish...

I play the taster: a beautiful ruby color, the nose is filled with a beautiful complexity mixing greedy red fruits with subtle spices. A mouthful of red fruit, a long finish that lingers on the palate.
