This Grenache Gris is ideal as an aperitif, or with Polynesian-style raw fish (a marinade based on mango, lemon and other exotic fruits) or simply grilled fish. Catherine Delaunay also recommends it with bell pepper salad, pissaladière or razor clams a la plancha.
"A Grenache gris from the north-western Corbières, fermented half in stainless steel tanks, half in demi-muids. No malo and aged on fine lees. On the nose, no wood but terroir, with delicate mineral notes of wet pebbles, a few spicy touches and fresh fruit. The woodiness makes itself felt a little more, but with moderation and discretion, in a mouth that is fresh, alert, fine and lemony. Beautiful energy and elegance."
