We named this cuvée after our winegrowing ancestors, great-uncle and grandfather respectively. Mourvèdre and Syrah come from ancient terraces of the Hérault, Carignan from very poor tertiary terraces; all these terroirs are characterized by the presence of large quantities of rolled pebbles and by low yields (25 hl/ha), resulting in a powerful, elegant wine.
Appearance
Crimson red with purplish highlights.
Aroma
Complex, mineral attack (leather, smoke), balsamic, mentholated, candied (blackcurrant, blackberry) and spicy (pepper, cinnamon) notes.
Taste
Full-bodied, elegant, with harmonious, supple tannins and a long, fresh, minty finish.
