La vila voltaire is a Languedoc estate run by cécile garidou and stéphane yerle, located in the saint-chinian and coteaux d'ensérune igp terroirs. All of the estate's plots (aged between 30 and 100 years) are planted on clay-limestone, sandstone and bauxite soils in the commune of cazedarnes, and the vineyards are farmed organically. In the cellar, vinification is low-interventionist, with a thoughtful use of wood ageing. The domaine alternates between barrels and terracotta jars to age its wines according to their potential.
