The winemaker
Behind Maudit Flacon is a man: François Gilles. A lover of vines and wine, he vinifies grapes selected from different wine-growing areas, notably the Languedoc, Auvergne and Pays de Gex. The selection is rigorous and responds to a vision of viticulture that respects the environment. The winegrowers with whom he works manage their vines according to the principles of organic or biodynamic agriculture. The idea is simple: a good wine is made from good grapes.
The harvest is therefore the object of all his attention. The grapes are transported in boxes to the vinification cellar, which is none other than his garage fitted out for this purpose. The vinification is done in a gentle manner, i.e. with the minimum of intervention and as naturally as possible without the addition of inputs, except for a very slight sulphiting at bottling.
