Mireille and Pierre Mann founded Mas des Caprices in an exceptional, unspoilt environment. The estate stretches from the Leucate plateau to the schist soils of the Corbières. This former restaurateur couple, both children of winegrowers and passionate about working with vines, embarked on a daring adventure by taking over a vineyard in the Fitou and Corbières AOCs. They began by converting the estate to organic farming, and then worked hard to offer an accomplished range of high-quality regional wines and vins doux naturels. The winemaker

The domain


The vineyard covers 15 hectares and the grape varieties are varied, with some typical of the region and others more confidential. Red varieties include Carignan, Lladoner Pelut, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Five white varieties are planted: Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Macabeu, Vermentino and Muscat à petits Grains Blancs.

All work on the estate, in the vineyard and in the cellar, is carried out with respect for the environment, people and terroirs. The teams have also been working according to Biodynamic methods since 2014.

Mas des Caprices wines are characterized by intense fruitiness, great purity and beautiful saline tension. These are singular, luminous cuvées that deliberately move away from the classics to impose their style built around the freshness and ripeness of the fruit.

The best wine magazines praise the work carried out on the estate and recommend its cuvées. They are regularly cited in the Guide Hachette des Vins, Bettane & Desseauve and Revue des Vins de France.

The wines


Blanc de l'Oeuf is a Corbières made from a blend of Maccabeu, Grenache and Muscat. Vinification takes place in an egg-shaped vat, giving the wine suppleness, roundness and fruitiness. This is a cuvée with floral aromas, perfect to accompany grilled fish or a seafood platter.

Ze Fitou is a red wine in the Fitou appellation offering a balanced aromatic palette combining fresh and ripe fruit. The palate is fresh, with coated tannins. A fruity wine, perfect with vegetable lasagne, a cheese platter or grilled meats.

Muscat de Rivesaltes is a natural sweet wine, characterized by its softness, minerality and mellowness. It's a well-balanced cuvée, best enjoyed with a strong cheese or a meringue dessert.

Audace is a wine from France made from the marriage of distant terroirs: the schist of Aude and the clay-marl-limestone soils of Alsace. Pinot Noir from the Grand Est meets Grenache Noir from Occitanie to create this fresh, gourmet cuvée. The nose reveals aromas of grenadine, raspberry, blackcurrant and cherry. The structure is strong, with a long finish and silky tannins. This is the wine to choose to accompany a charcuterie board or marinated meat.
