Mireille and Pierre Mann founded the Mas des Caprices in an exceptional and preserved environment. The estate stretches from the plateau of Leucate to the schist soils of the Corbières. This couple of former restaurateurs, both children of winegrowers and passionate about the work of the vine, embarked on this daring adventure by taking over a vineyard in the Fitou and Corbières AOC. They began by converting the estate to organic farming and put all their efforts into offering a successful range of regional wines and natural sweet wines of great quality. The winemaker

The Domain


The vineyard covers 15 hectares and the grape varieties are varied with typical grape varieties of the region and others more confidential. Among the red grape varieties are Carignan, Lladoner Pelut, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Five white varieties are planted: from Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Macabeu, Vermentino and Muscat à petits Grains Blancs.

All of the estate's work, in the vineyard and in the cellar, is carried out with respect for the environment, the people and the terroirs. In addition, the teams have been working according to Biodynamic methods since 2014.

The wines of Mas des Caprices are characterized by an intense fruitiness, great purity and a beautiful saline tension. They are singular and luminous cuvées, which deliberately move away from the classics to impose their style built around the freshness and maturity of the fruit.

The best specialized magazines praise the work carried out on the estate and recommend the estate's cuvées. They are thus regularly cited in the Hachette wine guide, Bettane & Desseauve or the Revue des Vins de France.

The wines


Blanc de l'Oeuf is a Corbières made from a blend of Maccabeu, Grenache and Muscat. The vinification is done in an egg-shaped tank, giving the wine suppleness, roundness and fruitiness. It is a cuvée with floral aromas, perfect for tasting with grilled fish or a seafood platter.

Ze Fitou is a red wine in the Fitou appellation offering a balanced aromatic palette combining fresh and ripe fruit. The palate is fresh, with coated tannins. It is a wine on the fruit, perfect to accompany vegetable lasagna, a cheese platter or grilled meats.

Muscat de Rivesaltes is a natural sweet wine, characterized by its softness, minerality and mellowness. It is a well-balanced vintage, to be enjoyed with a strong cheese or a meringue dessert.

Audace is a wine from France made from the marriage of distant terroirs: the schist of Aude and the clay-marl soils of Alsace. Thus, the Pinot Noir from the East of France meets the Grenache Noir from Occitania to elaborate this fresh and greedy cuvée. The nose reveals aromas of grenadine, raspberry, black currant and cherry. The structure is strong, with a nice persistent finish and silky tannins. This is the wine to choose to accompany a board of charcuterie or marinated meat.
