The winemaker

Planted on the mainly calcareous soils, the vineyard covers 10 ha. The vines of Mas d'Estelle is adapted to the region: Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah for red, Roussanne and Grenache white. We have a vine growing emphasis severe pruning which limits performance and is an important step to develop a quality wine. Tillage we practice avoids the use of weed control products and promotes root development in depth. From the perspective of quality, the harvest is done by hand with sorting out the plot. The vinification is traditional, we intervene to minimum during fermentation. In 2011 the winery was equipped with modern equipment to protect the quality of our production over the vinification and livestock.
