Characteristics of the terroir and vineyards of Maison Cazes

Maison Cazes is split into two estates: Domaine Cazes and Le Clos des Paupilles. Domaine Cazes is located in Rivesaltes, in the heart of the Roussillon vineyards. Rivesaltes is widely known for its Muscat AOP. Clos des Paupilles is located further south, near Collioure and Banyuls. The vineyard is planted with Muscat d'Alexandrie, Muscat à petits grains, Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Mascabeu, and produces mainly red wines.

The wines of Domaine Maison Cazes

Domaine Cazes produces Rivesaltes, Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes-du-Roussillon Villages red wines, Rivesaltes and Muscat de Rivesaltes whites, and Rivesaltes and Côtes Catalanes rosés. Clos des Paupilles produces Collioure and Banyuls reds, whites and rosés. The John Wine cuvée, Côtes du Roussillon Villages, contains sulfite-free wines.
