The winemaker
Les Vignes Oubliées: an exceptional terroir
With his three cuvées, Jean-Baptiste Granier offers a journey through the lands of Larzac that expresses all the personality of his different wines. The grape varieties he works with - Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault for the reds, and Clairette, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc for the whites - create complex wines of unparalleled vivacity and freshness.
The estate's wines
The Terrasses du Larzac cuvée is grown on clay-limestone sandstone soil and aged for 12 months in barrel. It's a wine to be drunk young, and needs to be aerated to fully appreciate its flavors. Cuvée Languedoc is aged partly in demi-muid, with Cinsault as the main grape variety, bringing out the fruity aromas of the blend. Cuvée Blanc, with its notes of white fruit and citrus, gives the wine a delicate perfume that is enhanced by a serving temperature of 10°C.
