Behind the spanda is virginie maignien, a generous and passionate winemaker with an atypical background. She discovered the pleasures of wine at family dinners in her childhood, but never thought of making a career out of it. After graduating from essec business school, she began her career in the museum sector. But on the eve of her 30th birthday, she had a revelation: life is short and fragile. virginie, the epicurean that she is, wants to make the most of it, and make sure that her life is in line with her values and desires. She's decided to leave Paris to become a winemaker! So she trained at the cfppa in Beaune and embarked on her winegrowing adventure, first as an editor for the gault & millau wine guide, then as a wine merchant and finally as a vineyard owner. In 2005, virginie settled in the south-west at the domaine de causse marines, in the gaillac region, alongside patrice lescarret. Together, for 15 years, they traveled, had a son, abel, and produced exceptional natural wines. A rich adventure that has enabled her to develop wonderful friendships throughout France and the rest of the world.
