The winemaker

Two sisters respect the unique environment of their Vineyard, elegant wines, racy, intense and authentic as their Terroir. The Pech-Menel Domain is located on a hill, near the village of Forty. It is reached by a small winding path that climbs along the hillside. Dedicated since ancient times, the site retains many vestiges (dolmen, Villa, pottery, weapons, tools, etc.) The present building dates back to 1720. It housed the fold of the monks of "Forty" and probably a cellar since vine cultivation is attested at the time. The property is located in the garrigue, at varying altitudes. The vegetation is typically languedocienne, and consists of wood (pine, oak kermes) and bushy plants (broom, thyme, rosemary, lavender, cistus, strawberry tree.) "Born on the field, every inch of the 55 hectares has no secrets for us since our childhood. We experienced there a herd of sheep that was on transhumance between the Languedoc and Andorra, draft horses , harvesting the timber comprises, carried on the wagon pulled by the horse. " The wine is made in this regard, declined in several vintages reflecting own design or a local unit. The winemaking are appropriate to their respective vocations and livestock insured strictly tanks to ensure the transparency of the fruit and incidentally that of the terroir. The wines are issued after a long ripening allowing their character to assert itself fully.
