The winemaker

Damien and Axel have decided to create the estate in 2019. The estate has been passed down in the family for over 150 years. Particularly attached to our maternal heritage, we work the vineyard respecting the know-how and traditions of our elders, while adding a touch of modernity. Our father's values of sharing and conviviality inspired us to become winegrowers. We created Domaine le Cigalet to express our history, passion, sensitivity and convictions through our wines. Nestling on a schist massif, our plots are mainly located on hillsides, and are all classified under the FITOU appellation. The Mediterranean climate, characterized by low rainfall, plenty of sunshine and strong winds, is an essential asset in our work. It plays a key role in combating disease and achieving optimum ripeness. Our terroir, our climate and our convictions drive us to cultivate our vines with respect for nature, the environment and mankind.
