The winemaker

The terroir of Domaine du Somail


The stony soil of the Minervois terroir combined with the sunshine had already seduced the Romans in ancient times. Today, the grape varieties grown biodynamically (Demeter label) and organically (AB label) by Domaine du Somail are mainly Syrah, Carignano and Mourvèdre, for wines of character.

The wines of Domaine du Somail


The Domaine du Somail cuvées offer a wide range of tastes bringing out the lightness of sun-drenched fruit in difficult terroir. The "L'Authentique" cuvée, for example, is a red that sublimates the capricious Mourvèdre grape. "Laly", a fruity, invigorating biodynamic wine, is fluid on the palate, while "Julie", sulfite-free, is very tasty.
