The winemaker

Unlike most winegrowers, Alain Chabanon doesn't come from a family that works in the vineyards. He began working between the vines at a very early age, and made it his goal to one day own his own estate. He trained with Alain Brumony. Thanks to his perseverance, he founded his own vineyard in 1990 at Montpeyroux in Corsica. The 17-hectare estate benefits from old vines and a diversified terroir. The winemaker's aim is to create wines with a personality that brings something to the palate. He was quickly rewarded for his work, in 1995 with an 18.5 in Gault et Milliau.
